O Niki Signature Pattern: A Personal Tribute To My Heritage.
At O Niki, our prints are always personal. They’re rooted in the places I come from, the people I meet, and the quiet moments that stay with us long after we leave.
I grew up in India, from food to fashion to the deep roots that still influence life here in Australia today. The print itself is inspired by traditional Bandhani: an Indian tie and dye printing style where fabrics are dyed by hand. That hand-done, slightly imperfect texture and colour really spoke to me. I applied these colours and textures in my first collection that marks a full-circle moment for me.
I wanted to create something that reflects the journeys of my life, my background, the travels, the homes away from home, and the memories packed in every return flight. From clean-cut pieces of each style, the Elements collection carries a sense of intention. This one’s for the women who know that where you’ve been matters just as much as where you’re going.
